War Ships


In this chapter, we will provide some information about war ships along the centuries...

The understanding of tonnageis rather complex. we will give hereafter the full load tonnage. For ancient ships the tonnage given in tonneaux corresponded to a volume measurement. A tonneau was equal to one hundred cubic feet (2,86 cubic meter). For modern ships, the tonnage correspond to the weight of the water displaced volume.
